No matter the year, no matter the movie, Andy Barclay’s life will always be overturned by the return of evil serial kill doll Chucky. Throughout Andy’s life, Chucky has destroyed any small moment of happiness for Andy, from forcing his mom into psychiatric care to ridding Andy of his foster parents, and continuing to haunt his future. So while at the end of each Chucky movie we see Andy defeat the evil doll, it’s bittersweet as we know he will always, impossibly, come back again.
