It’s a little weird to hinge a brand-new show’s plot on the existence of Star Wars animation projects. They’re good — don’t get me wrong — but I can also assume that a lot of you haven’t seen Star Wars: Rebels. Nonetheless, Ahsoka is shaping up to be a continuation of that Dave Filoni series as Rosario Dawson’s Rebel teams up with Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Hera (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) again to prepare for the dreaded return of Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen). (Streaming August 23.)
